Welp
2025 is officially here and bringing with it all sorts of vibes. Excitement. Uncertainty. Languishing. Jaded spirit. The list goes on.
If overwhelm is the first word that comes to mind when you think of the new year, consider this your permission slip to do LESS. For real, we mean it. No one is watching. No one is keeping score. Here are a few tips to get started:
Turns out this from Kim Cattrall wasn't a one off comment but a guiding mantra for her entire life👑

Prioritize what feels good. If you’re still living by Kim Cattrall’s 2019 mantra like we are, spend time on the things that make you feel alive, even if they seem ridiculous—watch a bad movie, doodle something stupid, or just stare at the wall if that feels good.
Simplify your “all”. They say you can have it all but you can’t have it all at the same time. Pick one or two things to focus on this year, rather than ten. And if scaling back feels weird to your productive type A self, try one or two goals per quarter.
Do one thing at a time. Multitasking is out and monotasking is in. Whether it’s answering emails or folding laundry, try handling one thing at a time.
Unsubscribe. Part of digital detox’ing is taking a hard look at the apps you’ve downloaded, podcasts you’re listening to, or subscriptions you’re paying for. (And luckily this is the year the FTC makes it a lot easier to end subscriptions and memberships).
Don’t do it solo. You don’t have to go it alone. Delegate, collaborate, commensurate or let someone else take over for a bit. Sharing the load doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human.
As for us, we are feeling in our element - thinking of new ways to advocate for better mental health, providing more resources and actionable tips to tackle today’s most pervasive problems, and activating orgs and communities to improve mental health for their people.
And we’d love to hear from you. Reply to this email letting us know what’s going on in your life. Are you also waging war with your phone? Dangerously toeing the line between loneliness and solitude? Considering a breakup with your job in 2025? We’re here for you no matter what, boo.
That’s all for this week. In the meantime don’t forget to:
