Today in the U.S., more than seven million Black and African American individuals are living with a mental health condition yet only one in three will seek treatment.
Research shows that Black individuals face significant disparities in mental health care, including less access to treatment, lower quality of care, and higher stigma surrounding mental health issues. These disparities are not just statistics; they are everyday realities for many in our community, influenced by deep systemic racism, socio-economic factors, and trauma.
