Last month Dr. Vivek Murthy along with his 6 living predecessors gathered at Dartmouth College to discuss mental health and the crisis our nation currently faces.

Regardless of whether serving under a conservative or more moderate president, each surgeon general emphasized the importance of addressing the mental health crisis head on.

Dartmouth’s president Sian Leah Beilock agreed, stating “nationwide, mental health is an urgent challenge that health care professionals, educators, and leaders at every level must address head on.”

So who is our current U.S. Surgeon General?

If stanning is still a thing, we officially stan our current U.S. Surgeon General. Few in this role have brought as personal and determined a touch to the arena of mental health.
